Chris Forhan

Chris Forhan, originally from Seattle, has lived in Indianapolis, where he teaches at Butler University, since 2007.  He is the author of the memoir My Father Before Me as well as three books of poetry:  Black Leapt In; The Actual Moon, The Actual Stars; and Forgive Us Our Happiness.  He earned an M.A. from the University of New Hampshire and an M.F.A. from the University of Virginia, and his awards include a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship, two Pushcart Prizes, and a “Discover Great New Writers” selection from Barnes and Noble.  His poem “Solo Act” appeared originally in The Georgia Review.
