Jean Harper

Jean Harper is the author of Rose City: A Memoir of Work, recipient of the Mid-List Press First Series Award for Creative Nonfiction. Her writing has appeared in The Iowa Review, North American Review, Florida Review, and elsewhere. She has received grants from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Indiana Arts Commission, New Bedford Whaling Museum, and Indiana University. She holds an MFA from Emerson College, and teaches Indiana University East. She lives in the rural northeast part of Indiana.
