Barbara Shoup

Barbara Shoup is the author of eight novels, including An American Tune and Looking for Jack Kerouac, and co-author of Novel Ideas: Contemporary Authors Share the Creative Process. She was the recipient of the PEN Phyllis Reynolds Naylor Working Writer Fellowship and the Eugene and Marilyn Glick Regional Indiana Author Award. Two of her novels were selected as American Library Association Best Books for Young Adults. Born and raised in Hammond, Indiana, Shoup lives in Indianapolis, where she is the Executive Director of the Indiana Writers Center.
